The software has four modes
1. Montage. In this mode the program combines images to create a seamless photo montage. It transfers selected objects to a new background and makes the irrelevant parts of the pasted fragment fade away. The object does not change its color range or opacity, only its edges adapt to the new environment and get smoothed. This mode is good to use for creating photo collages with people (pasting a person into a new background).

2. Chameleon. In this mode the program adjusts the pasted fragment to the target image color range and smoothes the object's borders. It looks similar to the way a chameleon adapts to the environment.

3. Blend Mode. In this mode the program does not only smoothen the borders of the pasted object and adjusts its color range, but it also makes the object semi-transparent, so that the texture and the relief of the primary image can be seen through. Use this mode if you want to «dissolve» the pasted image in the background.

4. Emersion Mode. In Emersion mode, like in Montage mode, the program combines images to create a seamless photo montage. The difference between the two is that in Emersion Mode the pasted fragment does not overlay the background, but embeds into the background so that only certain parts of the fragment are visible. This mode allows making montages with difficult objects (trees, etc).

Facebook ala Manusia Purba



Ilmuwan Cambridge, Inggris mempelajari "Facebook" versi prasejarah untuk mendapatkan wawasan unik mengenai keseharian leluhur kita.

Peneliti menganalisa ribuan gambar yang digores pada situs dua batu granit. Batu situs di Swedia dan Rusia ini seukuran lapangan sepakbola.


Para arkeolog percaya bentuk awal jejaring sosial yang digunakan pada Zaman Perunggu ini berfungsi untuk menjalin komunikasi. Situs ini dimanfaatkan berbagai klan untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan tips mengenai berburu dan kebutuhan bertahan hidup lainnya.

Seni batu Namforsen, Swedia ini digambarkan para ilmuwan sebagai bentuk prasejarah dari Facebook. Coretan di batu itu memuat gambar binatang, manusia, perahu, dan pesta perburuan.
Para peneliti berkeyakinan manusia kuno menggunakan lokasi yang sama untuk menggambar dan berkomunikasi selama ribuan tahun. Manusia gua menganggap tempat itu dapat memberikan "kenyamanan" dan "koneksi" mendalam antarmanusia.

Arkeolog Cambridge, Mark Sapwell menggunakan teknologi terbaru untuk menganalisa beberapa tipe gambar.

"Ada sesuatu yang spesial dengan tempat ini. Saya rasa orang-orang itu ke sini karena mereka mengetahui orang-orang lain telah datang ke sini sebelumnya," ujar Sapwell seperti dilansir dari Dailymail.co.uk.

"Sama seperti hari ini, orang selalu ingin berkoneksi satu sama lain. Ini merupakan ekspresi identitas untuk masyarakat pada masa yang sangat awal ketika bahasa tulisan belum tercipta," imbuhnya.

Sama seperti Facebook, situs purbakala ini mengundang komentar terbuka. Variasi gambar baik cerminan maupun interpretasi ulang berlaku seperti panggilan dan respon. Cara komunikasi ini berlaku untuk kelompok pemburu dari ratusan hingga ribuan tahun lalu.

"Serupa Facebook, status mengundang komentar. Seni batu ini tampak sangat sosial dan mengundang untuk ditambahkan," ujar Sapwell.

Dua situs purba yang diteliti yakni Zalavruga di Rusia dan Namforsen di Swedia Utara. Keduanya mengandung 2.500 gambar.

Peneliti juga menemukan seni prasejarah ini juga berkembang menjadi "mobile". Berawal dari batu hingga muncul di beberapa perkakas seperti pegangan pisau dan pot.

"Situs-situs tersebut berada pada jaringan sungai. Perahu diperkirakan menjadi alat transportasi Zaman Perunggu," tambah Sapwell.
Seni batu yang dipelajari Sapwell berada di dekat jeram dan air terjun. Tempat ini kemungkinan menjadi lokasi manusia gua meninggalkan sungai dan berjalan berkeliling.
"Inilah tempat alami untuk berhenti dan meninggalkan jejak Anda saat perjalanan, semacam gardu artistik," ujar Sapwell.
